Obituary of Victoria Christine Camarillo

Victoria Christine Camarillo  7/3/06–7/9/24

(Please feel free to leave a memory or photo in the comments below)

Victoria was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome at seven months old. She never let her disability define how far she could go. She led an amazing life in her 18 short years with the full encouragement and support of her devoted parents, family, Godparents, teachers, and friends. Her accomplishments included Fiesta Especial Queen 2019 where she raised a record $22,600 for charity. She was a gold medalist for Special Olympics, she had a leadership role in her school dance team and spoke as an ambassador for children with special needs at numerous schools educating others about appreciating their abilities and not focusing on their disabilities. She was selected to represent Northside ISD during the red ribbon cutting ceremony for Morgan’s Wonderland alongside Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Gordan Hartman. She was inducted into the Clark H.S. National Honor Society in 2023 and was honored with numerous prestigious school awards. As a gifted musician, she played drums for the School of Rock for six years.

She was truly off the charts in her emotional and social IQ and she had the amazing gift of discernment of spirit. She could immediately tell if someone was having a hard emotional time often giving impromptu hugs to strangers that needed her love and compassion. Her cousins counted on her to give prospective boyfriends/girlfriends a thumbs up/thumbs down. She was never wrong in her assessment of character.
