There are not enough words to describe how special Griffin was, and will always be. He was a bright light to all who knew him, loving everyone he met unconditionally and irrevocably. Griffin loved music, movies, PBS, his toys and blankets, trees and sunshine, wet wipes to rub his face with, and being home with his family and pets. No matter what he faced, he did so with an unshakeable and constant courage. His smile and joy were contagious, and he imprinted himself on everyone he met in an instant and in the most lasting ways. To know Griffin was to love him, and his impact on all those he met will forever stand the test of time.
Griffin taught all he knew how to truly love and do hard things, always with a smile and courage. He showed us how to defiantly choose joy and hope, every single day, no matter how difficult or impossible the road may be. He gave us the gift of learning to live in the moment and always remain present, that gratitude offers peace and makes what we have more than enough, even when it is hard. Griffin showed us every day of his life that it is not the sum of your circumstances or length of time you are given here on earth that counts, but what you choose to receive and accept out of them, and in turn, give back and do with it all - that’s what makes happiness and life worthwhile.
Griffin may have been given only two years in this place, but he lived a whole lifetime in them and accomplished and touched more people with his tremendous love and constant joy than most will ever know or achieve. He will be forever missed but never, ever forgotten.
