Fundraise

Members of the WSA can support individuals with Williams syndrome in their local communities and across the nation by hosting fundraisers to benefit the organization. Throughout May and all year round, volunteers and families associated with WSA come together to arrange walks and various events nationwide. The purpose of these activities is to generate funds for connections, resources and research.

Music and Williams Syndrome

Most individuals with Williams syndrome have an affinity to music. They are touched by music in ways not usually seen in the general population. It is quite common for those with Williams syndrome to be reduced to tears by classical music, disturbed by music played in minor chords or moved to dance and laugh by playful and "happy" music.

Special Needs Trusts Ensure Support, Care

Estate Planning for parents with a dependent who has a disability is a complex process. Most parents find it difficult to even contemplate their death and, as a result, planning can be an upsetting experience for families. It is not unusual for parents to feel either too young to consider estate planning or to feel they have so few assets that this type of planning is applicable to them.
