WSA Family Network Area Lead
The Williams Syndrome Association is comprised of a dedicated group of people devoted exclusively to enriching the lives of individuals with Williams syndrome and their families/caregivers.
The WSA Family Network allows the WSA to utilize the exceptionally eager volunteers in the WS community to support individuals with WS and their families throughout the entire life journey, increase community awareness of WS, and facilitate connection events and fundraisers around the country.
The WSA Family Network structure consists of 3 Area Leads who will work with the Staff to gather data from each state, disseminate information and materials to State Leads, and help recruit volunteers for special events and programs.
If you’re interested in applying for an Area Lead position, please review the job description and complete an interest form by Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
WSA Family Network State Lead
The WSA Family Network also consists of at least 1 volunteer specialist in each state (“State Lead”). The State Leads are the point people for their particular communities. They’re the first point of contact for families and are integral in helping navigate a new diagnosis or a major life change. The State Leads should also be helpful guides through their state programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Most importantly, the WSA Family Network structure provides a framework for the many volunteers in our WS community who work so hard to create opportunities for our loved ones with WS to become the best possible versions of themselves. By working with the State Leads, our volunteers will be able to knowledge-share and connect with families more efficiently to make sure no matter where an individual with WS or their family is on their path, they will not walk it alone.
