No family walks this journey alone.
The WSA Family Network ensures that every individual with Williams syndrome and every family touched by WS has a clear, accessible point of contact for support no matter where they live.
What This Network Does
Local connection
Families in every state have a go-to person who knows their community, their resources, and their needs.
Resource navigation
State Leads know local systems — Medicaid waivers, housing programs, special education — so families don't have to figure it out alone.
Community events
Volunteers across the country organize connection events, fundraisers, and awareness activities that bring the WS community together locally.
WSA-backed support
Every State Lead is supported by an Area Lead and the WSA's Director of Family Support, so no one carries the work alone.
How It's Structured
Area Lead
- Contracted or volunteer position
- Supports multiple states within their area, ensuring State Leads have the resources, guidance, and backing they need. Three areas: Western, Central, and Eastern.
State Lead
- Volunteer position
- Serves as the primary point of contact for families in their state — helping families find the WSA when they need it most and guiding local volunteers in connection and fundraising efforts.
Who We're Looking For
Both roles are open to active WSA members with a direct relative with Williams syndrome. We're looking for people who are passionate about the WS community, reliable communicators, and ready to help families in their state or area feel supported and connected.
