Webinar: Medical Advocacy & Care Coordination
Presented By CaringTide Disability Planning
This session equips caregivers of children with disabilities and self-advocates to navigate the healthcare system with confidence. Medical advocacy means ensuring you or your child's needs, rights, and goals guide every decision, from routine appointments to hospital stays. Attendees will learn how to communicate effectively with providers, organize medical information, understand diagnoses and treatment options, and prepare for appointments. The session also covers building a care team, navigating insurance denials and appeals, advocating during hospitalizations, and knowing when to invoke your child's legal rights. Whether you are just starting your advocacy journey or looking to sharpen your skills, this session provides the tools and language to make sure your child is heard and receiving the care they deserve.
Recordings of these sessions will NOT be available on the WSA website. If you’re not able to join the webinar live, please register to receive a copy of the recording. The recordings will only be available for a limited time after they are distributed to registrants. Please be sure to watch the recording within 2 weeks of receipt.
