This timeline is a guide for parents of students with disabilities who are currently moving through the school system. Ideally, you should go through the checklist from the elementary age. but note that many of the suggested activities, such as positive human relationships and good social skills at home and school. overlap and are processes that are ongoing throughout the transition stages. Remember that learning what options are available for your child are important at every level. You are your child’s best advocate.
