2025 Adventure Seekers Cruise FAQs

We are thrilled to offer the Adventure Seekers (adults with Williams syndrome 18+) an opportunity to get together in person! See below for Frequently Asked Questions related to the trip.

Departing from Orlando/Port Canaveral, this 7 day cruise will be visiting 4 beautiful ports-of-call: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.

What are the dates of the trip?

Our Adventure Seekers Reunion Plus One trip will be held Saturday, June 21 to Saturday June 28.

Where are we staying?

The Norweigan Aqua sails from Port Canaveral, Florida.

Where is the cruise going?

Departing from Orlando/Port Canaveral, the Norweigan Aqua will be visiting 4 beautiful ports-of-call: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.

Are there special guidelines for the trip regarding vaccinations and masks?

Please refer to the Norweigan Cruise Line website for guidelines.

What does it mean that this trip is "plus one"?

This trip is a Plus One trip - each individual must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone (parent/caretaker, adult sibling, staff, etc). You and/or your chaperone will be responsible for organizing travel, transportation, hotel booking, coordinating most activities while in Orlando, oversight, etc. This trip will look more like a joint vacation with your WS family. There will be no exceptions for unaccompanied travelers.

Can an adult chaperone more than one Adventure Seeker?

Yes, but the caretaker must be responsible for those individuals at all times during the weekend. We do not encourage one adult to take responsibility for more than two attendees.

Will the group be doing activities together?

We will be working with the cruise ship to arrange an activity for the group on one of the evenings. The rest of the time is open for you to plan the activities you'd like.

What are the fees?

To reserve your place, you will need to put in a deposit of $250.

Is there transportation?

The WSA is not providing transportation.

Are there events/outing that will be just for the Adventure Seekers without their parent/chaperone?

No, we are not planning any excursions separate from your parent/chaperone.

How can we connect with other families that are attending, prior to arrival?

Once registration is complete, we will set up a Facebook group for the trip. It will be a great way to learn who is coming and to plan adventures together in advance.

How do I register for the trip?

Follow the steps below to book your cabin(s) on the cruise.

Download and complete the WSA Cruise Booking Form.
Register for an NCL Account at NCL.com.
- You will also need this account for booking excursions, specialty dining reservations, checking in for your cruise, etc.
- Ensure the names on your booking form, NCL account, and passports all match.

Who needs to register for the trip?

Both the Adventure Seeker AND the chaperone(s) MUST register for the event.

I need mobility assistance. How can I rent a scooter or wheelchair?

We will update this as information becomes available.

Do I need a passport?

When are payments due?

FINAL PAYMENTS FOR THE CRUISE WILL BE DUE NO LATER THAN FEB 1, 2025

Does Norweigan offer travel protection (trip insurance)?

Yes, NCL offers a number of options with their BookSafe Travel Protection Plan. Amber can discuss the options with you and help you decide which might be best for your situation.
